The DC nightclub will host Dubfire, Jimmy Edgar and more for a week of anniversary celebrations.
U Street Music Hall has announced the lineup for the five year anniversary party next month.
The 500-capacity nightclub—one of DC's most visible dance music institutions—has hosted artists as diverse as Green Velvet, Seth Troxler and Shlohmo in 2014 alone. Next month, they'll ring in their fifth anniversary with a week of high-profile programming, starting with a March 16th Dubfire gig, where he'll spin all night. The 18th will welcome a birthday edition of the traveling Moombahton Massive party led by residents Nadastrom and Sabo, who will play alongside TBA special guests, and the following night offers sets from Jimmy Edgar, Tittsworth and Lisa Frank. Chris Lake will spin with U Street owner Will Eastman on the 20th, and they'll close out their celebrations with an appearance from Claptone on the 21st.
In addition to the anniversary parties, U Street has also announced a $5,000 grant that they will award to one DC-based nonprofit organization that deals in music education or programming (additional application details can be found here on Facebook).
