- The LP will be jointly released by 4AD and RVNG.
Holly Herndon's second album, Platform, is coming out in May via RVNG and 4AD.
Herndon, who currently lives in San Francisco and studies at Stanford's Center for Computer Research In Music And Acoustics, describes the record as "a rupture, a paradisic gesture," while RVNG say it explores "systemic inequality, surveillance states, and neo-feudalism." It arrives three years on from her debut album, Movement. That record came out through Matt Werth's RVNG label, and this one will be jointly issued through RVNG and 4AD.
The album features wider collaborations with Dutch design studio Metahaven and digital artist Mat Dryhurst. There are ten tracks in total, including previously released songs "Chorus" and "Home." It'll land on CD, digital and double-vinyl formats on May 18th in the UK and May 19th in the US and the rest of the world.
