- After a three-year production break, the Amsterdam-based artist will release his first LP this spring.
Hunee will release his debut album, Hunch Music, on Rush Hour Music this spring.
The ten-track album has been a long time coming: Hunee (real name Hun Choi) first started work on an LP back in 2012, but that project didn't work out. Hunch Music was recorded in Amsterdam, where Hunee has been living since relocating to the city in 2014 from Berlin via a stint in LA. It ends a three-year production hiatus for the artist, who broke through with the Tour de Force EP on W.T. Records in 2009 and then went on to appear on labels like Internasjonal, Retreat, Rush Hour, Dekmantel and Ostgut Ton through 2012.
The LP's release on Rush Hour continues an ongoing partnership between Hunee and the Amsterdam mainstay—he curated the Soichi Terada-focused Sounds From The Far East compilation for the label which saw release in February 2015.
