- Ovum will release the Swedish producer's first album in March.
DJ and producer Agaric will release his debut album, Who Made Up the Rules?, in March on Ovum Recordings.
Agaric has been making techno since the late '90s, though until 2005 it was under his own name, Patrik Skoog. He's put out more than 50 singles and EPs on Drumcode, Raum... and Kontra-Musik among others, and over the years has collaborated with the likes of Adam Beyer, Shonky and [a]pendics.shuffle. Since 2006 he's also run his own record label, We Are, which has functioned as a platform for music from himself and a few like-minded artists (Mikael Stavostrand, Raudive, etc.) Who Made Up the Rules? is quintessential Agaric: dark and atmospheric techno with a slick production style. The album will be his first release on Josh Wink's Ovum imprint.
