- Raster-Noton will release the experimental producer's third album in May.
David Letellier, better known as Kangding Ray, will release his third album next month on Raster-Noton.
The record will be Letellier's third through the experimental Berlin imprint, following Stabil and Automne Fold. In his RA review of the latter LP, Cameron Eeles described the German artist's sound as a bit more emotional than your standard Raster-Noton fare, maintaining the label's "cool austerity" while touching on "something warm beneath the surface." According to a press release, Or has a more political tack, concerning itself with consumer culture and economic collapse. The title refers both to the English word "or" as well as the French word for gold, "the only chemical element that seems to keep its value for eternity." Australian noisemaker Ben Frost makes a guest appearance, playing keyboard on the title track.
