- The Swedish duo's first LP will come out in November on Acéphale.
Swedish electronic pop duo Korallreven will release their debut album next month on Acéphale.
Korallreven is Marcus Joons and Daniel Tjäder, the latter of whom also plays in acclaimed indie rock band The Radio Dept. They formed Korallreven two years ago, and over the course of a few singles have since homed in on a style that blends electronic pop with shoegaze, ala Slowdive or My Bloody Valentine. Following the release of their debut 7-inch, Loved-Up, they found a home for themselves on Acéphale, a Canadian label that's played host to similarly spaced-out groups like Air France and SALEM. Simply entitled An Album by Korallreven, the upcoming LP combines new songs with the handful of tracks the duo had already released. It will be widely released on CD and white vinyl, with the first 200 copies coming on white and silver "haze vinyl."
