Crème Organization will release the Chicago techno artist's first LP in December.
D'Marc Cantu is ready to release his debut album, entitled Fallen.
In the five years or so that he's been putting out records, Cantu has developed an underground reputation that extends well beyond his home base in Michigan, with EPs on the Dutch labels M>O>S Recordings and Crème Organization, who will be releasing Fallen. When he's not producing by himself, he's been known to team up with former roommate Tadd Mullinux (also known as James T. Cotton or Dabrye) as 2 AM/FM, or with Mullinux and Traxx as X2. On each of these projects he leaves a distinct mark: a raw, dubbed out sound that Michaelangelo Matos described as "arty, fudge-dense house."
Fallen will be released digitally and in a run of 300 vinyl copies, each of which comes with a poster. You can hear the title track with campy sci-fi accompaniment in the official trailer below.
