The German outfit's first live album features 14 all-live renditions of Jazzanova productions.
German electronic fusion outfit Jazzanova will release a live album this month called Funkhaus Studio Sessions.
The album shows core members Stefan Leisering and Axel Reinemer teaming up with the seven studio musicians that make up Jazzanova's touring band. Armed with an array of acoustic and electronic instruments (synthesizers, sax, flute, congas, ampli-celeste, etc.), the ensemble play renditions of 14 Jazzanova tunes, including their latest single "I Human" (originally recorded during these sessions) and a live version of their remix of "Flashback" by Fat Freddys Drop. The album was recorded last November at Rundfunk Orchestra studios in Berlin, and will come out on Sonar Kollektiv, the label they founded in '98. You can see a clip of the recording sessions below.
