- The new label is a spin-off from their long-running radio show.
Finland's Samuli Kemppi and Juho Kusti, AKA J.Kusti, have announced a new label project, Deep Space Helsinki.
Kemppi and Kusti have become two of Finland's most prominent techno artists. Recent years have seen the former's sleek, atmospheric output picked up by labels like Prologue, Perc Trax and Ostgut Ton, while the Kusti has been a regular fixture on Helsinki's DJ circuit for much of the past decade. The pair's new label takes its name from the pair's long-running radio show, which broadcasts from local station Basso Radio each Tuesday night. Both founders contribute with two tracks each on the inaugural release, entitled Signal One.
Tracklist
