- The Ninja Tune artist will bring a revamped version of his ISAM show to the US and Canada this autumn.
Amon Tobin will embark on a tour of North America with a reworked version of his ISAM show this fall.
The Brazilian-born artist released his latest album ISAM last year, which saw him further exploring field recording techniques, "crafting entire synthetic instruments from slivers of incidental sound" as our review put it. The album was complemented by a worldwide tour that saw Tobin couched in a large-scale stage installation (pictured right) with elaborate video-mapped projections to match the music. ISAM made appearances at Sonar, Coachella and clubs across Australia among other places. This autumn he'll bring the show on another North American tour with what he's calling ISAM Live 2.0.
This second version of the show will feature new aural and visual components, including new material from his Two Fingers project, which will release a new album called Fools Rhythm in October. The tour will see him criss-cross the US, hitting both coasts as well as midwestern and southern dates, beginning September 1st in Seattle, ending in Los Angeles on October 12th, with one Canadian stop in Toronto on September 10th. No word yet on opening acts.
