- Due out in November on Warp, the 75-minute composition is a continuation of Eno's Music for Thinking series.
Details have been revealed for Brian Eno's next album for Warp Records, entitled LUX.
According to the label, LUX follows in the same tradition as Eno's most seminal ambient long-players, namely Music For Films, Music For Airports and Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks. Eno himself considers it a continuation of his Music For Thinking series, which includes the albums Discreet Music and Neroli. LUX consists of 12 parts (split into four tracks) that form a single 75-minute composition. It's the visionary artist's first solo album since 2005's Another Day On Earth, and his third for Warp, after the collaborative projects Small Craft on a Milk Sea and Drums Between The Bells.
LUX will be released digitally, on vinyl and on CD. The vinyl version comes in a gatefold sleeve with four 300x300mm prints, plus a download redemption code (the CD comes with four smaller prints).
