Darren Cunningham will play shows in four cities next month.
UK producer Darren Cunningham AKA Actress will head to Australia for the first time next month.
The Werkdiscs owner has gone through a period of rich development in recent years. Where his second album, Splazsh, delved into more experimental styles of techno and electronica, last year's acclaimedR.I.P. went deeper still into the world of atmospherics and dark ambience, an exploration which landed him second place in RA's top 20 albums of 2012 poll. Now with his fourth LP, Ghettoville, allegedly around the corner, Cunningham will be making his way down to Australia for a tour which begins on March 15th where he will play alongside Hype Williams and Tim Hecker at one of Unsound's nights for Adelaide Festival 2013, hosted at Queens Theatre. The following night he will appear at The Bakery in Perth, with Oneohtrix Point Never joining him on the bill, before heading to Melbourne's Brown Alley on the 22nd as part of The Operatives' Espionage series. His final gig will be hosted by Hold Tight! at the Oxford Art Factory on March 23rd.
