DeepChord and Pinch are among other highlights for the Toronto festival.
The first wave of names have been announced for Sound In Motion 2013, taking place from July 11th through 13th.
The non-profit festival, which debuted in 2012, is put together by local collective StudioFeed. The events unfold over three days in various venues around Toronto, including a free outdoor show at Coronation Park. This year Hyperdub boss Kode9 sits on the list of international acts, with American dub techno mainstay DeepChord, veteran DJ Daniel Bell, Bristol bass head Pinch and German producer Audio Werner all confirmed. Toronto's own Basic Soul Unit is the best-known of the Canadian acts, backed up by SlowPitch, Michel Plamondon, Stefny Winter and others.
Sound In Motion offers plenty of non-musical events this year as well, with technology showcases, workshops, film screenings and an industry BBQ among the offerings.
