- Full details of the UK house producer's debut album have been revealed.
Maya Jane Coles will release her debut album, Comfort, in June.
The London-based producer's first full-length is heavy on guest vocalists, with appearances from Bristol veteran Tricky, former Hercules & Love Affair member Kim Ann Foxman, Swedish singer Karin Park and electroclash pioneer Miss Kittin. The rest of the package is very much down to Coles: she produced, engineered and mixed the LP, sung on two tracks and designed the sleeve artwork.
Comfort arrives after a string of well-received EPs dating back to 2008 for labels like 20:20 Vision, Hypercolour and Real Tone, which released the 2010 breakthrough single "What They Say." Last year she also mixed an installment in the long-running DJ-Kicks CD series for !K7 Records. For an idea of what to expect from the album, head over to Coles' SoundCloud page, where you can stream the track "Everything" (featuring Karin Park.) Comfort will be jointly released through the producer's own I/AM/ME label and Kobalt.
