The two experimental artists are part of the five-day program for the festival's tenth annual edition.
Tomorrow Never Knows 2014 will take place in Chicago from January 15th through 19th.
This will be the tenth annual edition of the indie-focused festival, and rock acts, as usual, make up much of the programme, which sees two dozen events held across five days. Still, fans of experimental electronics have a reason to pay attention, with the TNK2014 show at Lincoln Hall on Thursday the 16th featuring two of the scene's more compelling figures, Oneohtrix Point Never and Tim Hecker. Then on Friday the 17th, DARKSIDE, AKA Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington, will show off their moody, rock-inflected electronica with a set at Metro.
Local clubbing institution Smart Bar (located beneath Metro) is also set to join the festivities for two nights. German duo andhim will headline on the 17th with support from local selector Savile, and a special Hugo Ball session on Saturday the 18th will see two duos play four-turntable sets—guests Specter and Chicago Skyway and residents Justin Long and Nathan Drew Larsen—with one more resident, Sevron, handling opening duties.
Tickets for Smart Bar's events with andhim and Hugo Ball are available on RA.
