He'll make a rare trip stateside to play six shows.
UK techno veteran Ben Sims has confirmed a six-stop US tour that starts next week.
The early months of 2014 find Sims busy as usual—he's already notched around twenty DJ gigs across Europe, and put out a pair of records via his own Theory imprint (he's also had to deal with an unfortunate theft of studio gear). Next up on the schedule is a rare tour of the US.
Four of the six bookings—in Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit and Brooklyn—will also serve as official pre-parties for Movement Festival, which Sims played last year. The tour begins at Complex in LA with the Droid Behavior crew next Thursday the 24th. It'll be Sims' local debut, and Truncate, AKA Audio Injection, will also be on hand. A run of three Midwest dates fills out the rest of the long weekend: an Oktave night at Chicago's Smart Bar, a Scene show in Detroit at The Works, and Communion at 400 Soundbar in Minneapolis. The following week has Sims touching down in Miami, where he's billed with another European stalwart, Chris Liebing, at Trade, before the tour winds down on Saturday the 3rd at Brooklyn club Output, where Robert Hood and DVS1 are also confirmed.
