Carlos Souffront up next at Hugo Ball

- The San Francisco-based DJ will hit Chicago next weekend.
- Veteran DJ Carlos Souffront will head to Chicago on Saturday the 16th to play this month's Hugo Ball session at Smart Bar. From Detroit and now living in San Francisco, Souffront is known for his longtime affiliation with the Motor City's Interdimensional Transmissions crew—not to mention his skills as an adventurous, crate-digging selector, which have been attracting more and more attention in recent years. He's the next guest at Hugo Ball, the monthly party that's closing in on two years of operation at Smart Bar. (Previous bookings in 2014 include locals like Josh Werner and Beau Wanzer, and out-of-towners such as Jason Kendig and Mike Servito.) As usual, a couple residents, ringleader Justin Long and Marlon Montez, will also take to the decks. Tickets to the Ball are available here on RA.
