- The two-disc compilation, out in November, is the first in a new series on Brodinski's label celebrating its roster and close associates.
Bromance will release the first album in its new Homieland series on November 24th.
The French label and its founder, Brodinski, have both grown in stature since he started in 2011. Not only did Bromance expand across the pond with a US division last year, but Brodinski and Gesaffelstein also received a profile boost after being featured on two tracks from Kanye West's Yeezus.
Conceived as a way to show off the label and its cast of characters, Homieland Vol. 1 comprises one disc of new tracks from regular Bromance artists and a second of tunes from past collaborators and friends. The first (titled "Family") features an array of house, techno, hip-hop and other playful club styles from the likes of Louisahhh!!, Canblaster, Sam Tiba and Maelstrom. The second "Friends" disc boasts new songs from Jimmy Edgar, Distal, Suicideyear and Jon Convex.
The compilation will also launch a worldwide tour taking the Homieland crew on the road, as well as offering fans "intimate chances... to interact with Homieland in each city prior to the shows through clothing stores, record shops and mystery locations," though details are still being firmed up. Listen to a preview mini-mix for the compilation below.
