Jesper Dahlbäck has an album called Skargard coming out in March as The Persuader.
The Persuader has generally been the outlet for Dahlbäck's deeper, house-focused material, and it first appeared in the late '90s with records, including his debut LP Stockholm, put out through Stephan Grieder's Svek imprint. (Here's a bit of trivia: Stockholm was the very first release listed on Discogs.) After a more than decade-long break, the alias was revived in 2013 with records issued on Concrete and Stockholm LTD, and last year saw Dahlbäck set up a new label, Templar, to put out three self-titled EPs, not to mention the inclusion of one of those Concrete cuts, "Sun Position," on Marcel Dettmann's highly rated fabric mix CD.
The fourteen-track Skargard—that's the name of the Swedish archipelago which Dahlbäck drew inspiration from—will be released in March on Templar first in digital and limited double-vinyl formats. Before then, on Friday, February 13th, fans in Paris can catch Dahlbäck when he links up with the Concrete crew for a party serving as a "tribute" to the Svek imprint and also featuring Joel Mull and Alexi Delano.
