- Proxima Centauri, released via USB, will premiere in France on Saturday.
We'll get the first peek at a new Jeff Mills this Saturday, January 31st.
The Detroit techno innovator's latest album, Proxima Centauri, will come on a USB stick, according to FACT (and a Facebook page from Mills). It's not the first dalliance he's had with the format, following the release of 2013's Jungle Planet last year's Emerging Crystal Universe. It'll debut at a special instalment of Time Tunnel—Mills's ongoing series of live performances—at La Laiterie in Strasbourg, where he'll play a six hour set on a stage that features a special three-pyramid setup. The premiere follows a recent live scoring for Woman In The Moon that Mills performed in San Francisco earlier this month.
Axis Records will release Proxima Centauri soon.
