- Gunnar Haslam and Tin Man's first collaborative full-length arrives in December.
The debut Romans album, Valere Aude, is upcoming via The Bunker New York.
Romans is the collaboration of New York's Gunnar Haslam and Vienna-based Johannes Auvinen, AKA Tin Man. Seeking to conceptually examine ancient Roman civilization "through the murky lens of time," as Auvinen once put it, the duo have so far released two records of eclectic, 303-heavy techno: 2014's Romans I for Global A, and last year's Ambulare Aude for The Bunker. (They also play live together on occasion, and a few European gigs are locked in for next month.) Valere Aude comprises 12 tracks, each with a title referring to a place within the greater Roman Empire, and the label describes it as "an acid-etched trip to the outer reaches of the mind."
The album, coming on vinyl, CD and digital formats, will be the second issued through The Bunker, after Move D and Jonah Sharp's Reagenz LP, The Periodic Table, in 2014. It'll also be the 20th release in the label's catalog.
