Kangding Ray will release an album called Hyper Opal Mantis through Stroboscopic Artefacts in February.
Hyper Opal Mantis will be the first album from Kangding Ray, real name David Letellier, on Stroboscopic Artefacts, a label he's been affiliated with since 2012. Active since the mid-'00s, Letellier is known for a high-definition experimental sound, having released five LPs—including 2015's Cory Arcane—on one of the style's key outlets, Raster-Noton. The upcoming Stroboscopic Artefacts outing will be Letellier's first album on a label other than Raster-Noton, and sees him deliver ten tracks due out digitally and on triple vinyl.
