- The Iranian composer and violinist will release History Of Heat in June.
SADAF has signed to Blueberry Records for an album called History Of Heat, out next month.
The LP, which combines improvised violin with synths, drum machines and her own vocals, forms an "experimental narrative" about love and desire, the label says. It's the debut album from the New York-based Iranian artist, who works in a few different media, including sound art, video, performance and text.
"History of Heat is an eroto-intellectual retelling of a love story," she writes. "It is the scholarship of heat, and the sources of its production in the body: desire, exaltation, anticipation, fear, rage and mourning." Her last release, an EP called Shell, came out in 2017 via Outside Insight.
