The four-track record fuses together elements of South African gqom and UK funky.
Scratchclart (FKA Scratcha DVA) and KG (AKA Karen Nyame) have teamed up for Touch, their first collaborative EP for Hyperdub.
The four-track EP fuses together elements of South African gqom and UK funky, which the label aptly describes as "UK gqom." Scratchclart has been releasing music with Hyperdub for almost a decade under his various aliases, while this EP marks producer, vocalist and radio broadcaster KG's debut appearance on the label.
Touch follows KG's EP for Goon Club Allstars, which was released last February. This will be Scratchclart's fourth release this year, following an EP with Gage on Keysound, in addition to an EP for Dream Eater and a remix for Singlewhitefemale.
