Yousef has built a solid foundation of mates through his own Liverpool based Circus club night and touring the world as one of the worlds most recognisable house DJs. After a stella last year which saw his night win ‘House Rules Club of the Year’ by the listeners of Radio 1 and a Renaissance mix, he has teamed up with a number of his friends to drop an album entitled ‘Yousef – Friends’ A Collaboration of Beats.
All the ass-shaking tunes on the album are brand new material with the exception of ‘Circus Parade’ and ‘Da Number 8’ which has been given the special re-rub treatment. It is evident that this quirky house release was an enjoyable project for all those involved. Boy wonder Nic Fanciulli notes:“I had fun working on a project with such a cool guy! I think we managed to get elements from both our style’s of music and meet down the middle 50/50.”, whilst Ex Rhythm Master and production buddy Steve Mac comments “I have known Yousef for quite a few years now. I have seen him play out many times, he is a very talented DJ and that's why I wanted to work with him in the studio. I like the style of music he plays and he understands the dance floor which is important when making records, he is also a close friend of mine and we have had many a laugh together, sometimes extreme laughs - nutbag.”
