- The DDJ-REV1 and DDJ-REV7 have interfaces designed to match the setup of a professional mixer and turntable.
Pioneer DJ has unveiled two new DJ controllers with specialised features for scratching.
Optimised for Serato, the DDJ-REV1 and DDJ-REV7 (pictured) are two-channel units with big jog wheels. Each one was designed to mirror the setup of Pioneer's DJM-S mixer and PLX turntable.
Retailing at £259, the DDJ-REV1 is a more entry-level controller, aimed at users of Serato DJ Lite. It comes with a new battle-style layout, long tempo sliders and a Tracking Scratch function that automatically returns a track to the cue point when users move the jog wheel. It also has mixed microphone audio, a first for a Pioneer DJ controller at this level.
The DDJ-REV7, which retails at £1,829, is for Serato DJ Pro users. It has a motorised jog wheel with a vinyl-like texture and a 3.5-inch LCD screen. It also includes built-in scratch samples and beat FX, as well as a Magvel Fader Pro crossfader.
