A new compilation is raising money for Leke Adesoye, founder and CEO of the Junglist Movement brand.
Out now through Bandcamp, The Aerosoul Album features tracks from a broad range of jungle and drum & bass artists, including Nookie, Double O, Manix and Equinox.
Adesoye was recently diagnosed with giant cell tumour, a disease that affects one in a million people and has left him in critical condition, according to a GoFundMe page set up for him. "Leke continues to fight in the hospital and is in good spirits," the page read. "But naturally, he is concerned about the welfare of his wife and two young daughters while he is in hospital and the foreseeable future. Unfortunately Leke is unable to run things in his normal high-speed fashion."
Adesoye launched Aerosoul Limited in 1998, an umbrella company that encompasses music-inspired clothing brands such as Junglist Movement, Hip Hop Movement, Babysoul, Soulero Sista and Aerosoul Africa. Junglist Movement famously featured in the 1999 film Human Traffic.
